BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES Hope Community - tomorrow one of our teens will be collecting back to school supplies - to help those in need in our area. Thanks in advance for any way you can help.

Elder And Staff Retreat A few weeks ago I asked you all to pray for our Elders and staff this Friday and Saturday - as we get away for 24 hours to pray and plan together. Would you please pray today and tomorrow for us. Thank you!

ADVERSE WEATHER In the event of adverse weather, we will still proceed with opening night check-in and registration activities. Kids/families will meet their coaches/leaders, find out more details about the season and also participate in a few drills. All of this will be done inside the church. KONA ICE TRUCK Rain or shine, the Kona Ice Truck will still be here with free snow cones for all participants!!

Surrendering to God can be an extremely challenging, life-long process. In order to fully surrender, we must learn to accept and trust ALL of who God is...even the seemingly unappealing parts that we don't understand or agree with. The truth is that the God of the Universe is under no obligation to make sense to us. But thankfully, He has a well-proven track record of love for us that goes deeper than we can comprehend. So, we can and must learn to trust Him as we surrender to Him on a daily basis. Join us as we search our hearts and uncover some practical steps we can take in this life-long journey of surrender. Hi Hope Community, Just a reminder that this Sunday, May 26 we will have 1 service @ 10:00a! It will be a family service so we'll all be together in the Auditorium for our service, only 0-3yrs will have staffed childcare. For families with kiddos that need a little more room, the Youth Room will also be open with the morning service live streamed in.

Have you ever wanted to go deeper into a relationship with someone else, maybe a child, parent, spouse?...but the other person just wouldn't go with you? In similar form, God describes Himself as a Father, inviting us to a deeper relationship with Him thru Prayer. Often though, many people are not willing to go with Him. The world has certainly not slowed down over the past decade. If anything, the pace, intensity, and number of distractions have only increased. Brokenness, hurts, pain, broken families, and more....remind us daily of our need for God to intervene. But often we find ourselves to busy with life to pray. Two truths have not changed though over time. God is still all-powerful and merciful as He has always been. And the deep kind of prayer that changes us and God's work in the world can't just happen on the fly. So, for the next 40 days leading up to Easter - we are going to talk about and provide practical opportunities for us to seek the Lord in prayer. Can you imagine what would happen in our families, churches, communities—the world—if Christians prayed until we could earnestly say, “Your will be done”? Throughout the 40 Days of Prayer series, we will learn how to cultivate a heart that seeks the Lord thru prayer. Don’t miss a single weekend of this life-changing series! Join us this Friday, April 13th from 6:30 till 9pm for a FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT designed to raise funds for a wonderful cause! Hope has partnered with a Puerto Rican church named "Casa De Esperanza" (House of Hope) to bring much-needed help to families who were hit hard by Hurricane Maria. Not only do you get to "be the church" to some families in great need, but you get to have a fun family night, too! Check out this video to learn more about the cause and don't miss the opportunity to respond!

A very special thank you to Brian Bishop for memorizing, then reciting the entire book of Jonah yesterday morning at Hope! What a powerful way to hear this great Bible story about God's outrageous grace!
